This work-based visas in Australia can be divided into the following: short-stay visas, temporary work visas, and permanent work visas.
1. The short stay visa.
For those planning a brief trip to Australia, a subclass 400 visa is available. The average length of the stay is three to six months. People who go for conferences, construction workers, or childcare providers are typically the ones to apply for this visa.
2. The temporary visa
Skilled workers on Temporary Skill Shortage Visas (Subclass 482) may remain in Australia for a period of two to five years. This visa also gives an immigrant the opportunity to bring their family to Australia, and it might even lead to permanent residence. Additional visa options are available for skilled employees who have just finished their education, such as the Temporary Graduate visa (Subclass 485). International students who have completed specified fields of study abroad or in Australia are eligible for this visa. For immigrants willing to work in other significant cities, the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491) is also an option.
3. The permanent visa
For experienced employees who have at least three years of experience, are subjected to a skills assessment, and are nominated by an Australian business, there is the Employer Nomination Scheme (Subclass 186). In contrast to the Skilled Independent visa (Subclass 189), the Skilled Nominated visa (Subclass 190) does not require any nomination at all. The Global Talent Visa Program for “highly talented professionals” and the Business Innovation and Investment Visa are two more choices for getting a permanent visa.
